Since httpme.com has implemented a "no overselling" policy, I am looking for a new company to partner with.
1) Do you allow overselling? Do you intend to change this policy any time soon?
2) Do you allow me to resell your reseller accounts? I provide my own support to my customers. I would contact your support desk only when I need something I can't do myself for my customer.

I have the exact same questions and am here for the exact same reasons :)
Also,Chris, if its not too much trouble for you, could u try to persuade me why I should go with you? I have been too used to top notch support at my current host. And being spoilt for so long, getting accts at a new host is a huge step for me :)
PS: srry 'u-know-who' for riding on ur post.

No worries. I suspect a few folks will wonder into these forums looking for an alternative to httpme.com.
It's really too bad, as we all love them very much. But as Rob said... we gotta look out for our own business just like he's looking our for his.

To be honest, as long as everyone stays inside their bandwidth and disk space quotas, they can oversell it or not oversell it. That's a business decision, not a technical one. Thus, we leave that with the reseller to decide. We have no plans in the near future to remove overselling.

Yes, we have no problem with this. Simply drop in a ticket at our helpdesk asking for another WHM account to be setup, and we shall add that to your billing

Yup, Bob's company certainly does provide excelent support. I beleive we are on par for that however. Have a read through our 'Customer Testimonials (http://forums.rochen.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=7)' forum. All our shared servers are also in the NAC data center. Uptime is also monitored by Alertra here too.

http://uptime.alertra.com/uptime2?id2=2893&id1=197268
That's the uptime for the servers currently taking new accounts :)

Is this true?
Also, will my customer's see this "sign up" link in their CPanel? http://forums.rochen.com/announcement.php?forumid=36
That would be bad, since it would be a resold reseller account I don't want them to have ANY way to know about you, including mysterious links in CPanel or server names, etc..
Please let me know ASAP about this.

We have several skins are not branded for CPanel, along with a redesigned Xskin.

If this is a resold reseller account, then what is going to stop my customer from simply changing their skin and eventually finding out the link and then you?

thx Chris for the replies :)
However, I am still a little perturbed that the company name is so easily available and not hidden enough from my clients cos the server's canonical names all have rochen in it.
Two more questions too
Do you guys have limits to the number of emails that can be sent per domain? I am asking becos i am thinking of setting up an 'email account' service. (no spamming lists of cos..that I understand)
Lastly, if i have a script that i want installed that require a certain perl module or some other modules, will there be any problems getting them installed or getting support for them?

Ack! It does not appear I will have the ability to anonymously resell your reseller accounts!
1) Your WHM theme is completely branded. There are several links with your company name on them, including the theme name itself. (Rochen ResellerCP Home)
Even if you can disable these branded themes, point #4 below is a dead giveaway.
2) There is a link in the WHM them called "Customer Forums" which links to these forums!
3) There is a link in the WHM them called "Enable Customer Forum Access" which obviously shows your company name and has links to these forums.
4) Your server name has your company name in it! (name.rochen.com) That is really bad, because any simple php info script will immediately reveal the server name.
Chris, can you address these concerns ASAP?

Our main target market is the reseller as the end user. As I said in reply to the email, I shall see what we can do about having this modified etc. and possibly building the forums authentication system into the HelpDesk.

It's generally like that, so we can track service abuse etc. far easier. However, again I shall see what we can do over the coming days to re-brand the machines :)

Nope, just drop in a ticket and we can install that for you :)

Check your email... :)
Just a quick not to everyone. All servers are now on another professional sounding domain, not rochen.com :)
