Sounds good so far, but before I take the plunge I have a few questions:
1. I've read in other sites that each domain name needs a separate, unique IP address for proper search engine optimization, etc. and if they share one IP address, it can cause problems for the domain names. Does each domain name receive a unqiue IP address?
2. Support FrontPage 2000 extensions?
3. Do you ever place ads, banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, etc. anywhere on any sites created by users?
4. Approximately how long would it take to upload a 25 page web site to your servers? (Current host can literally take a couple of hours!)
5. For each domain name we create, is the usage determined by the user, or does each domain just share the total allotment as needed?
I think that's it for the moment. Thanks for your anticipated reply.

There is a lot of sceptical information going around about whether sites need dedicated IPs. The story about it increases search engine results is simply nonsense. If you contact Google, Yahoo etc. they will tell you the same. Also IPs have to be justified, we can't just hand them out. This is per ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) guidelines, which all hosts/ISPs must agree to. The only time a dedicated IP should be needed, is if you are using anonymous FTP or your own SSL Secure Certificate. However if you would like a dedicated IP, we can arrange this for an additional monthly charge, prices are on our site :)
2. Support FrontPage 2000 extensions?
We have FrontPage 2002 Extensions. These will work with versions: 2002, 2000, 98.
3. Do you ever place ads, banners, pop-ups, pop-unders, etc. anywhere on any sites created by users?
Never, you are paying for the service, so there are no ads, popups etc.
4. Approximately how long would it take to upload a 25 page web site to your servers? (Current host can literally take a couple of hours!)
That depends on the speed of your own connection and the size of the files, however all our servers at connected directly to a 100Mbit port. Speed shouldn't be a problem :)
5. For each domain name we create, is the usage determined by the user, or does each domain just share the total allotment as needed?
The resources get split per domain, you can split them however you like.
If you have any further questions, please let me know :)

Chris you are fast! Quite refreshing from current hosting company where I'm waiting for an answer still from a concern I sent them several weeks ago.
Does this ever change - honestly? (I don't have a problem with holidays off duty, etc. everyone deserves time off) Does rochen stay this attentive to its customers most of the time?
I read in your terms that rochen reserves the right to change the amount it charges for services - are we notified via email before changes to your fees are charged to our credit cards, giving us the option to accept & stay or decide to seek other hosts - or do you just charge without notice? (It's very open ended saying you have the right to charge whatever you want to charge. Just want to make sure I can exercise my options before being charged. I just don't want to sign up for $12.95 / month and after a few months rochen decides to start charging $25/month without giving me the option to accept & stay or take my business else where?
Which brings me to another question: How long have these rates been in effect and do you foresee an increase during 2003?
Thanks Chris.

You would be best reading what our Customers have to say in the Customer Testimonials section. They can probably answer this better than I can :)

Yes, you will be notified. The main reason we have this in here is because the industry is always changing, we may have to change bandwidth or service providers or they may change the prices they charge us. So to stay in business we would have to change our prices.

Forever. We have never changed the amount we charge customers. I don't foresee the prices changing in 2003 either :)

I've been with Rochen since October. And the support has been both fast and effective throughout:)
They are also the first host I've come across who are pro-active in their actions, ie. if they spot a potential problem, they do something about it there and then, and inform their customers about the potential problem in advance.
This makes a big difference from any other host I've come across, who you need to hassle for ages before they'll even look at it.
All in all, much the best support service I've ever come across, either on the web or off it, for anything:D
Moves back now, to avoid getting burns from Chris's blushes:laughing:

I'm with Gray... I've been with Rochen since the first of October. Service and support have been outstanding every since day one, and have only gotten better.
As for their pro-active solutions to problems... that is exactly right. They fix things before they break.
