I have been involved with the Net since the very early days and have been running my own sites since the mid-1990's. Over the years I have used many hosting services, some good, some bad.
I eventually found a host which was just fantastic - and stayed with them for four years because I felt their service was unbeatable.
Guess what? It wasn't.
In 2002, I kept hearing about a host called Rochen. I was trialling phpWS at the time and many users were happy Rochen customers. I initially thought, "Oh, yeah, my existing host is pretty darn good, it would be next to impossible to beat them."
However, there was a considerable price difference which was worth investigating. I was not prepared to save money at the expense of good uptime and good customer service.
I moved one site, was happy with Rochen, and over time, as I assured myself that the service was consistently good, I moved over to a reseller account.
Since joining Rochen in 2002, I have found the level of service has been unparalleled. The responsiveness of both accounts and technical staff to any query has meant that the few queries I have had over the years were dealt with very quickly, which has resulted in my clients being impressed with my service to them.
I know of few businesses of any kind that manage to achieve a consistent 100% satisfaction level with a customer over a period of years and I am pleased to say, Rochen has managed this. If great support (which you will hardly ever need), very high levels of uptime, and feature-rich web hosting options are what you are looking for, I don't believe you need look further than Rochen.
Add in good pricing and a strong, helpful customer base and you have an unbeatable combination.
