switching host

i'm have been my clubs webmaster since 1998. (self taught) i have never changed hosts before. what would be the procedure?

my current provider doesn't support MySQL and the forums issue with perl are getting me down. i'd like to convert my website to a more dynamic site using http://www.*****.com type software.

Basically you would signup with us, get your files uploaded to our servers and then change the DNS information for your domain name at your domain registrar so it points to our servers. This information is provided in the welcome email when you signup :)
